Our Covid-19 protocols and requirements will continue to evolve as the CDC and government update local mandates.
At Lark Theatre Studio, we are very conscious of the serious global pandemic we continue to face. Please see our COVID-19 policies and procedures below.
Both the state and CDC guidelines are still recommending camp and youth programs require masks. Lark will be adhering to these guidelines, in line with several local camps, such as the JCC, YMCA, and Dauphin County parks and rec camps, in requiring masks while indoors. Masks do not have to be worn during outdoor art activities, while eating or drinking, and while using stage makeup. (When the Art & Design camp has stage makeup day, students will be socially distanced in a very large, well ventilated area.) – UPDATED 6/15/21
The CDC has also just released recommendations for the upcoming school year. These guidelines include allowing school staff and students who are fully vaccinated to forgo wearing masks if they choose. In line with these recommendations, our high school campers in our Acting and Writing camps will not be required to wear masks, with proof of vaccination. In the fall, our mask policy will be updated to allow fully vaccinated students the option to forgo masks, regardless of age group, with proof of vaccination. – UPDATED 7/13/21
Our new procedures will include but are not limited to:
*We will employ strict regimented cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures and schedules for every classroom.
*We will have ongoing adherence to strict health protocols requiring staff who do not feel well to stay home and seek proper health care as needed. We ask that students do the same.
*We will follow guidelines regarding the number of people allowed at a gathering at one time.
*We will have convenient and visible hand sanitizing stations in every classroom.
*There will be no final performance at the end of our Acting Camp this year. (We hope to bring performances back next year when it is safer to do so!)
Rest assured that your child’s health and safety are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing high quality performing arts instruction. We appreciate your trust and patience, and we look forward to seeing you in July!
