Lauren Grove

(Acting, Stage Makeup) 


Lauren is the founder and owner of Lark Theatre Studio. She has been a performing arts instructor for almost fifteen years. Lauren is an award winning director and published playwright. As an actor, she has performed in over thirty productions including “Lady Macbeth” in Macbeth, “Mother” in Six Characters In Search of an Author, and “Essie” in You Can’t Take It With You. She has worked in varying facets of theatre education, having directed close to forty productions for the elementary, middle school, community, and professional demographics, including Annie, The Wizard of Oz, The Lion King, She Kills Monsters, and the Appell Center for the Performing Arts' Annual Playwriting Festival. She is also the co-director of Lower Dauphin High School's Thespian Society. Lauren is thrilled to be bringing her passion for the performing arts to students of all ages through Lark Theatre Studio!

Ebony Mudd

 (Hip Hop)


Ebony has been dancing her way through life for the past two and a half decades! As a young dancer, she trained in jazz and hip hop. She realized hip hop was her first love and expanded her knowledge by continuing training into adulthood. Ebony has danced under some of the best choreographers in the industry such as Willdabeast Adams, Sean Bankhead, Nika Kljun, and more. Professionally, she has worked on the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour under Nick Demoura and on the JLO tour in Las Vegas under Kyle Hanagami. She also owns and directs Flight Crew, a competitive hip hop crew in the MD/PA area.  Ebony will be a guest teacher for Lark, leading hip hop workshops periodically throughout the year. Doug Grove

 (Alternate/Substitute) 


Doug is an English and Theatre Arts teacher at Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, PA. Doug has earned a B. A. in English and M.A. in American Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. He has performed in over a dozen plays and one-acts and has directed the Lower Dauphin fall play since 2010. He also produces LD’s one-act festival, Dramapalooza. He loves getting a chance to work with Lark Theatre Studio students and watch them become the best they can be!

Interns

Emily Myers

 (Intern)


Emily is a junior Communications/Theatre Major at Millersville University. She has been acting for 8 years, and has been in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Father Knows Best, Sin, and Jesus Christ Superstar. She has also had one experience with directing a middle school short play, Saturday Matinee. She has been singing just as long, and was in the York County Honors Choir for two years. Emily has performed with this group in New York and has also participated in a mock Broadway audition with Broadway actor Aaron Kaburick. She is excited for the opportunity to intern with Lark Theatre Studio and help other up and coming actors find their way!  

Nikki Schwartz

(Intern) 


 Nikki has been performing on stage for nearly eight years. She is currently studying Communications with a concentration in Theatre at Millersville University. Nikki was seen most recently as Trisha in Dog Sees God, Emily Brent in And Then There Were None, and Helen in Sin. In addition to performing, she has also worked at the JCC Summer Camp as an advocate in the Open Hearts/Open Doors program for children of all ages. She is so excited to get to work with the talented actors at Lark Theatre Studio!
