Lauren is the founder and owner of Lark Theatre Studio. She has been a performing arts instructor for over fifteen years. Lauren is an award winning director and published playwright. As an actor, she has performed in over thirty productions including “Lady Macbeth” in Macbeth, “Mother” in Six Characters In Search of an Author, and “Essie” in You Can’t Take It With You. She has worked in varying facets of theatre education, having directed close to forty productions for the elementary, middle school, community, and professional demographics, including Annie, The Wizard of Oz, The Lion King, She Kills Monsters, and the Appell Center for the Performing Arts' Annual Playwriting Festival. She is also the co-director of Lower Dauphin High School's Thespian Society. Lauren is thrilled to be bringing her passion for the performing arts to students of all ages through Lark Theatre Studio!

Doug is an English and Theatre Arts teacher at Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, PA. Doug has earned a B. A. in English and an M.A. in American Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. He has performed in over a dozen plays and one-acts including Charley's Aunt, Our Town, and A Christmas Carol. Doug has directed the Lower Dauphin High School fall play since 2010. His Lower Dauphin fall play productions include It's A Wonderful Life, Alice in Wonderland, and Arsenic and Old Lace. He also produces Lower Dauphin’s annual one-act festival, Dramapalooza. He loves getting a chance to work with Lark Theatre Studio students and watch them become the best they can be!
Kayla is currently a rising sophomore at the University of the Arts where she is pursuing her BFA in Dance. She grew up dancing at E-Dance Center in Elizabethtown, PA. She has trained for over a decade in various styles including jazz, ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, and modern. Kayla has also taught jazz/funk classes. At Elizabethtown Area High School, she was the student choreographer for FAME, Cinderella, and The Sound of Music. In 2017, she attended the Boston Conservatory Summer Dance Intensive. Kayla is excited to be a part of Lark Theatre Studio!
Music has been a part of Joe’s life for as long as he can remember. He has been studying voice and piano for several years. Joe has been the musical director for several productions including Little Shop of Horrors and Heathers: The Musical. He has also been the pianist for several benefit concerts at Millersville University. Most recently, Joe was the music director and played keyboard in the pit of Millersville University's production of Pippin. Along with his experience as a music director, Joe is a seasoned actor. He has performed in Anything Goes, Seussical, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sin, and Rodgers and Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing. Joe is excited to teach music and voice to Lark Theatre Studio’s students!
Emily is a senior Communications/Theatre Major at Millersville University. She has been acting for nine years and has performed in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Father Knows Best, Sin, Jesus Christ Superstar, and most recently Pippin. She also has experience directing at the middle school level. She has been singing for several years and was a member of York County Honors Choir. She is excited for the opportunity to work with Lark Theatre Studio students and help up and coming performers find their way!
Nikki has been performing on stage for nearly nine years. She is currently studying Communications with a concentration in Theatre at Millersville University. Nikki was seen most recently as Trisha in Dog Sees God, Emily Brent in And Then There Were None, and Helen in Sin. In addition to performing, she has also worked at the JCC Summer Camp as an advocate in the Open Hearts/Open Doors program for children of all ages. She is so excited to get to work with the talented performers at Lark Theatre Studio!
